If your MMPH 004 exam is tomorrow, stop scrolling for new topics. At this point, it’s not about learning more. It’s about using tonight the right way. Here’s a quick list of what to do, and what to avoid, before you walk into that exam hall.
Do This Tonight
Do revise only what you already know
Tonight is not the time to start a new topic. Instead, go back to your own notes, or our MMPH 004 rapid revision notes, and just refresh what you’ve already studied. If you’d rather watch than read, our MMPH 004 rapid revision video covers the same topics in a fast, exam-focused format. Either way, familiar topics, read or watched again, tend to stick better than new ones crammed in a hurry.
Do focus on high-weightage areas
Some topics show up almost every term. Make sure these are fresh in your mind:
- Approaches to Industrial Relations (Unitary, Pluralistic, Marxist)
- Collective Bargaining: meaning, elements, steps
- Trade Unions: evolution, problems, global trends
- Labour Codes 2019 and 2020
- Dispute settlement methods: conciliation, arbitration, adjudication
Do write short, clear one-line definitions for key terms
Examiners reward clarity. For example, a clean one-line definition followed by 2-3 points often scores better than a long, vague paragraph. So, keep your answers structured rather than trying to write everything you know.
Do sleep at a reasonable time
This sounds obvious, but it’s actually the most skipped advice. A tired brain, after all, forgets things it knew perfectly well the night before. Therefore, aim for at least 6 hours of sleep, even if it means closing your books a little earlier than planned.
Do keep your documents and stationery ready
Admit card, ID proof, pens, and anything else your study centre requires. So, keep them packed tonight, not tomorrow morning. That way, it’s one less thing to worry about at 7 AM.
Don’t Do This Tonight
Don’t try to read the entire syllabus again
You won’t finish it, and as a result, you’ll end up more anxious than when you started. So, stick to revision instead of attempting a full re-read.
Don’t compare your preparation with anyone else’s
Someone will always say they’ve covered more than you. However, it rarely means much, since everyone’s revision pace is different. In fact, exam-eve comparisons only add stress for no real benefit.
Don’t skip meals to study more
Low blood sugar makes it harder to focus, not easier. So, eat properly, even if you feel too anxious to.
Don’t pull an all-nighter
It feels productive in the moment, but it almost never actually is. In fact, most of what you cram between 2 AM and 5 AM won’t stay in your memory by exam time anyway.
Don’t go in without a plan for your 5 questions
MMPH 004’s TEE usually asks you to attempt any 5 questions out of a longer list, all carrying equal marks. Decide your approach: read all questions first, pick the ones you’re most confident about, and attempt those first. Don’t waste time deciding mid-exam.
A Quick Word Before You Go Study
You’ve already done the hard part. The assignment is submitted, the syllabus is covered, and tonight is just about steadying yourself, not adding more pressure. Revise what you know, rest when you need to, and walk in tomorrow with a clear head rather than a tired one.
All the best for your MMPH 004 exam tomorrow.
